Hello!
Thanks for visiting DonnaTruly. My name is Donnalee. I was born and raised in Montego Bay, the tourism capital of Jamaica. I am a proud Jamaican, and global citizen. My first international trip was a school trip to Grand Cayman when I was six years old. I have been chasing planes and passports ever since.
After finishing high school in Jamaica, I moved the United States. I spent the next eight years there, as a student, then an attorney. I still enjoy a good argument! Now I am a university instructor and administrator in Rwanda. My career trajectory is guided by my commitment to social justice, and my belief that we have a divine responsibility to at least try and create a better world. My current professional interests lie in educational technology, and using edtech to increase global access to education.
I work (more than) full time, but I travel as much as I can. At DonnaTruly, I share my discoveries and opinions about life and travel in Africa and beyond, from the perspective of a Jamaican traveler. I have been to over 20 countries, and I plan to visit every country in Africa. I am obsessed with good books, good beaches, and current affairs.
You can stay in touch with me via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can also fill out the contact form below if you want to get in touch with me. Thanks for stopping by!
Truly,
Donna.
